The Standard on Elgin Street restaurant in Ottawa, is located where Mash used to be. The menu and the name have changed. The atmosphere remains very much the same as when it was Mash, however the menu has been revised. The food is upscale pub fare.

Meals include the beef tenderloin, the pork-loin and burgers. Portions are a fair size and reasonably priced. The burgers are fantastic and a very good portion for the price.

For starters try the beef and tuna sushi rolls. Both are very very good. They sell Stella by the pitcher and have lots of cocktails. A DJ starts playing music at around 10 PM.

This establishment has a very nice atmosphere that won't break the bank.
